Planning remains underway, and we are optimistic about the progress being made based on meetings and requests from the WBOPDC specifically requests to increase the size of the Civic building in our designs to create potential office space for the WBOPDC staff.  These changes have not been simple leading to knock-on effects for carparking spaces and the likes but we are committed to working along side council to create a beautiful Town Center for the Omokoroa community and surrounding areas.

Feedback following official submissions and other social media activity has been positive and we have had numerous enquiries about business spaces available for lease - the community and local business are excited to see this project come to fruition.

Currently we are busy preparing to head to a hearing in early March 2021 with independent commissioners following recommendations from council.

The JACE Group recently submitted a Resource Consent application to the Western Bay of Plenty Council for shovel ready, "Omokoroa Town Centre", located at 404 Omokoroa Road.

This stunning multipurpose hub will establish a vibrant town centre to fulfill the shopping, convenience and social needs of the growing Omokoroa community and nearby rural catchments. The proposal features staged development for retail space, cafes, restaurants, offices, a civic center as well as a possible cinema.  We have made provisions to keep the coastal boutique feel that Omokoroa currently boasts by introducing a local farmers market and multiple artistic green spaces throughout. Our primary goal is to protect and enhance the lifestyle character and social wellbeing of Omokoroa.

Directors and long standing staff of the JACE Group have been residents in the WBOP area for well over 30 years, our philosophy is to build local for locals - we want to give the Omokoroa community a town centre it can grow with, thrive in all while complimenting the environmental surrounds. 


We have spent extensive time planning and consulting to create just this.  We have undertaken Urban Designs, Transportation Assessments, Geo technical and Archaeological reports just to name a few - all who agree 404 Omokoroa Road is the ideal place for a community hub.
